Gosh, can't believe I haven't added anything since May!! Have been really busy, crafting away. Mainly cross stitch though, getting gifts for christmas done which I will post pics of soon.

Haven't got any cards done since May :( Keep looking at sites and mags but never seem to have the time to get all the stuff out and work on some. Really need to, my stash of cards is running a bit low, they are always handy to have!

Golf Cards

Twisted Pyramage design, one is for my BIL's birthday in July (the only golfer I know!) the otheris for my card stash.

Keyrings

Had my first ever request to make lobster clasp keyrings for a fellow blogger, I'm pleased that she liked them :D

Flower topper cards

I was only intending to build up these decoupáge toppers then stick them in a box but I ended up carrying on and making the cards with them....

These two look a mustardy colour but they are actually a nice bright green lol

It only cost £1 for the sheet of 6 toppers from madaboutcards. :D

Handbag clips again

More 'handbag' clips here - I love making these, they are so simple!

I was babysitting my niece and nephew last night so I took beads and stuff for them to make their own keychains (and one for their mum) and my niece wanted ones for her best friends at school. I never had enough beads with me, so made them for her today

Btw - 'Sarah' is her toy rabbit, apparently she really needed one as well to clip on her outfit...lol

Handbag Clips

I love these beads - rhinestone studded ones that I found on ebay and coin alphabet letters.

I used elastic cord for threading and crimp beads to hold everything in place.

Baby Boy Card

Started with some baby boy cards - I really just wanted to use some of those felt nappies :) They weren't easy to stick, my usual tacky glue just sank in so out came the superglue lol.

Stickers are dome stickers I got for 50p a sheet in the madaboutcards sale )

*Note to self* don't take any more pictures agains the black leather sofa as background, the pics are too dark.

Thank you cards

Saw the top design on the madaboutcards website and really liked it, so decided to make other versions using the envelope design. The small purple cards have felt ribbon at the edge which is lovely to use (as well as easy) and gives a nice effect

Good Luck Card

It's always so easy to make cards for women isn't it?? I thought I would try a more blokey colour scheme and came up with these very simple good luck cards

Forever Friends Decoupáge

Well, after abandoning my cards for a few months I decided to take and easy foray back into them. Got some FFriends decoupáge and card blanks half price in an easter sale. Nice easy way to get back into the swing of things :)

Stealing the Moon

Another Heaven and Earth Design, one I fell in love with and fast forwarded to the to of my 'To Do' list.

I started this on the 19th March 2010 and loved stitching it. Quite a lot of confetti stitching in the middle of the design but the edges were fairly strightforward.

And here is the completed piece (280410) As soon as I finished the last stitches I rushed to get it washed ironed and photographed :D
The camera doesn't quite do the colours justice, there is sparkly thread in the light sections which doesn't really show up.

This is really just to show the scale of the design, my 2 year old daughter wanted in on this pic since my son got his picture taken with the last piece of work lol

Beaded Keyrings

I love making these!!

Took well over a week just to get all the parts, it was very much trial and error. Three attempts just to get the right letter beads, thankfully I have now found a wholesale supplier and have 1500 of them on their way!!

Also took a couple of attempts at finding the right ribbon - I had never heard of 'grosgrain' before!

I'm thinking they would sell for about £2 each at craft fairs, although my family will be getting them for various birthdays and occassions this year hehe.

The baby pink/blue ones are for relatives who are due their first baby next month, I will put them in with the baby gift :)

Birthday Card - Viv

What better than the 'Forever Friends' bear for someone who has been a fantastic friend over the years. (Viv, if you read this...(((hugs)))! )

I recently bought a load of beads, so thought that they would be ideal to personalise the card...they made a lovely necklace :D

'Vision at the Lake'

This is by Heaven and Earth Designs and is based on a painting by Christophe Vacher

It measures 27x21 inches and consists of 400,000 stitches. I started work on it in August 2009 but it wasn't until the New Year that I really got stuck in and determined to complete it.

Close up view of stitching:

My 4yo son is standing next to the picture to give an idea of it's scale:

Happy New Year

Just wanted to wish everyone in Blogger a very Happy New Year

Didn't get much crafting done before Christmas, far too busy organising for 3 young children. Hoping to gt back to in now , have been working away at my giant Cross Stitch project for the past few days.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year, hopefully everyone is getting back to normal now (unless you have snow like we do here, where normality will still be a bit frozen!)
